چکیده

Thin layers of tissue and residue are easily misclassified by current electronic cleansing methods for CT colonography. Thereby holes are introduced in the colon wall that hamper visualization and automated polyp detection. We present a thin layer model to detect and characterize such layers to support electronic cleansing. It is shown that the model sustains robust estimation of the location and thickness of thin layers. A lower bound on the thickness exists and was found to be 1.0 mm for our data.

Nonsingular Green’s Functions for Multi-Layer Homogeneous Microstrip Lines

In this article, three new green's functions are presented for a narrow strip line (not a thin wire) inside or on a homogeneous dielectric, supposing quasi-TEM dominant mode. These functions have no singularity in contrast to so far presented ones, so that they can be used easily to determine the capacitance matrix of multi-layer and single-layer homogeneous coupled microstrip lines. To obtain ...

In-situ observation of self-cleansing phenomena during ultra-high vacuum anneal of transition metal nitride thin films: Prospects for non-destructive photoelectron spectroscopy

Self-cleansing of transition metal nitrides is discovered to take place during ultrahigh vacuum annealing of TiN, NbN, and VN thin films. Native oxide layers from air exposure disappear after isothermal anneal at 1000 °C. Also, for TiN, the Ti 2p and N 1s X-ray photoelectron spectra (XPS) recorded after the anneal are identical to those obtained from insitu grown and analyzed epitaxial TiN(001)...

خواص نوری- مغناطیسی و ضرایب اپتیکی لایه‌های نازک منگنز-کبالت

Having precise hysterics loop of thin ferroelectric and ferromagnetic layers for optical switching and optical storages are important. A hysterieses loop can be achieved from a phenomenon call the magneto-optic effect. The magneto-optic effect is the rotation of a linear polarized electromagnetic wave propagated through a ferromagnetic medium. When light is transmitted through a layer of magnet...

Influence of Sodium Tripolyphosphate Concentration on Characteristics and Performance of Polyamide Thin Layer Membrane in Cu (II) Removal

In this work, the effect of presence of the sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP), as an inorganic salt, on improving the performance of polyamide (PA) thin layer membranes has been studied. Characterization analyses confirmed the presence of the salt on the whole surface structure of the thin layer. Different salt loadings resulted in different fluxes and Cu (II) rejections. The thin layer containing...

Thin Layer Drying and Equilibrium Moisture Content Equations for Canola (Brassica napus L.)

A fully instrumented air conditioning laboratory unit capable of controlling drying air temperature and humidity integrated with an instantaneous weighing thin layer drying system was used to investigate the thin layer drying behavior and desorption equilibrium moisture content of canola (Brassica napus L.). To this aim, freshly harvested canola samples with moisture content of about 12±0.5% (d...
